Analía Kandel is a graduate teacher of English (Instituto Nacional Superior del Profesorado "Dr. Joaquín V. González") and was awarded a Master of Arts in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language (with Distinction, The University of Reading, UK). She completed a specialisation course in “English Language IV” and has taught “English Language III” since 1995 (currently at "Joaquín V. González" Teacher Training College and at UB School of Languages and Foreign Studies). She is the President of APIBA (Asociación de Profesores de Inglés de Buenos Aires), Head of the Foreign Languages Department at Boston College, Information and Special Programmes Officer in the Foreign Languages Area at the Ministry of Education of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, member of the Education Committee (Languages Subcommittee) of Feria Internacional del Libro de Buenos Aires, author of APIBA SIGs Handbook, coursebook reviewer and materials writer. As a teacher trainer she has co-organised and/or participated as a speaker, panelist or member of the academic committee in various conferences, seminars and workshops on language teaching. She was a columnist for the Herald Education News (“ELT Agony Column”; “The Writing Column”). Her main pedagogical and research area is the teaching of writing (Process Approach). She is also a graduate radio producer (ETER radio school). From 2004 to 2009 she was a radio panelist on Languages, Arts and Culture in “Bureau de Arte” (FM Identidad 92.1).
